Ilan Tobin

Co-Founder & Partner

Ilan is a Co-Founder & Partner of Carbin Capital. He is responsible for originating new opportunities, structuring and executing transactions and working alongside our partners.

Prior to co-founding Carbin Capital, Ilan worked in the investment banking division at J.P. Morgan and Truist Securities, where he advised consumer & retail companies, financial institutions and private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising. Over the course of his career, Ilan has focused primarily on advising founder- and family-run companies across a variety of transactions. He began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young.

Ilan received a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in Accounting and Finance from the University of Georgia, a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Emory University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
